WHY DEBURR?

Surface irregularities may increase friction and wear, reduce fatigue limits, create excessive stress concentrations and produce unwanted build-ups of plating and paint. Burrs, sharp surface edges, and surface roughness can injure workers, cause mechanical and electrical problems, and reduce the service life of components.

Aerospace large flat part deburring involves precision instruments and machines to deliver the quality and precision the Aerospace Industry demands. This series of machines allows you, in one pass, to complete the following process:
Degrease - Rinse - Deburr Top/Bottom - Rinse - Dry
Please Note: All machinery is custom, to your specification. So we can: lengthen, widen, process faster as need, etc..
We build machines that allow you to do double sided deburring.

In-feed
Part thickness is measured, and the brushes are positioned to the appropriate gap.
We have built all sorts of in-feed conveyors so whether you would like conveyor belts, rollers, automated robots with suction cups feeding in the parts and/or sheets.
Degrease
The first chamber is degreasing section to get all the oils off of the large parts and/or sheets. The oils on the parts are results of previous operations.
Deburr- Wide Face Rotary Brush (Top & Bottom) with Oscillation
Before entering the brush section, the piece goes through a wash cycle and then enters the precision brush section. The brushes are accurately positioned for the task at hand. The process uses oscillation. The abrasive work is done by the optimized brush media.
Dry
After the brush section, we again send the piece through a rinse section and then drier section.

We have developed over 300 different types of Non-Woven brushes for the Aerospace industry's demanding applications.
Non woven abrasive brushes are available in large variety and assortment of grit sizes.
We have brushes that will deliver the same results in surface deburring and finishing (you are currently using) and will give you twice the life of your current brush.
Light deburring can be accomplished without an impregnated or compressed brush. For heavy deburring, APT offers the largest assortments of different impregnations and abrasive webbing to deliver any technical or decorative finishes you require.
